Software Research and Development Engineer
Location: Salem, VA

Take this opportunity to join a great company in an entry level software engineering opportunity. You would be located in our Salem, Virginia site developing real-time embedded telecom solutions. As part of a small group of engineers, you will be responsible for implementing, debugging, integrating and testing embedded software for handheld telecom test equipment. Please apply if you are interested in developing and enhancing your design skills and working on new technologies such as DSL, VoIP, and IP Video.

Qualifications:

  • BS in CPE, EE, or CS
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C, C++, and object oriented programming.
  • Familiarity with Linux.
  • Previous experience is desired but not required.
  • Travel: 1- 25 Percent

Software Development and Research Engineer
Location: Germantown, MD

Our Germantown, MD site is seeking individuals to contribute and grow within a high-energy, entry level software engineering opportunity. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, testing and maintenance of embedded and GUI software components for telecomm products. Your skills will be valuable for assuring the quality and reliability of your software design.

Qualifications:

  • BSEE/BSCE/BSCS or equivalent experience
  • Embedded development experience desired
  • Demonstrated proficiency in C/ C++ and object oriented programming
  • Familiarity with Linux Knowledge and Windows XP a plus
  • Good problem solving and communication skills 

Hardware Development and Research Engineer
Location: Germantown, MD

Join a progressive company as an entry level design engineer.  Grow with JDSU as you experience the complete design process. You will not only assist in the development of specifications, architectures and designs but participate in design reviews, assist in writing operating and maintenance manuals, and applications notes; and solve problems found in existing designs. Your skills will be valuable for assuring the quality, reusability and maintainability in your product design.

Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Experience preferred with microprocessor based data communications and telecommunications products.
  • Experience or exposure with Altera and/or Xilinx FPGA's. and CPLD's.
  • Familiarity with Verilog HDL and common FPGA development tools.
  • Basic knowledge of fundamental electrical engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
